Responsibly Sourced Diamonds and Gems Policy
We are committed to sourcing all materials used in our jewelry, including laboratory grown diamonds, gemstones, gold, silver, platinum and other metals in a responsible and ethical manner.
Laboratory Grown Diamonds
We sell laboratory grown diamonds as a mining-free alternative to natural diamonds to be more socially and environmentally responsible. Our laboratory grown diamond manufacturers have been audited for safe working conditions and we continue to push them to increase their wind and solar energy use.
Responsible Mining of Metals
We keep up-to-date with our gold suppliers, and work with them to positively influence how the 14K gold we use in our jewelry is sourced. We are committed to increasing the use of repurposed gold and secondary sources in our business, and measure and establish visible benchmarks with the goal of continuous improvement.
Gemstones
Our gemstones are guaranteed to come from countries and mining operations that follow strict environmental rules. We work with a small number of exclusive gemstone suppliers who share our values and source from specific countries that focus on land protection, safer mining, and improved working conditions. We are proud of our gemstone collections that empower artisanal miners and support fair trade markets, safer work environments, and better mining.
Quality and Integrity
Our fulfillment center has a state‐of‐the‐art facility that supports our quality review process. This means that:
Our laboratory-grown diamonds over 0.50 carat are IGI-graded diamonds. Founded in 1975, the International Gemological Institute (IGI) is one of the world's leading independent organizations dedicated to gemological research and education, headquartered in Antwerp, Belgium, with offices
in major jewelry centers around the globe. They utilize advanced instruments - including a microscope, digital calipers, an IGI-certified diamond master color comparison set, x-ray spectrometer, and other high-precision equipment - to assess the quality, stone security, and potential structural weaknesses of every stone we sell.
All of our diamond products over 0.50 carat will come with IGI certification issued by the IGI Laboratory.
